Dear Telbec FCU Member,
A special meeting of the membership was held on October 3, 2021 to vote on the potential merger between Bayer Heritage FCU and Telbec FCU and we’re pleased to announce that the votes have been counted and were overwhelmingly in favor of the merger. We want to assure you that you will continue to have access to your current Telbec FCU shares, loans, cards and online banking. Our goal is to provide an even better banking experience as we are able to offer additional products and services.
As of November 1, 2021, members of Telbec FCU can apply online for BHFCU products, however, our systems will not be fully integrated until the Summer of 2022, so you’ll continue to access your existing Telbec shares and loans through your local office and your current online banking.
As we move through the merger process over the coming months, we will be keeping you well informed through the following avenues: Telbec website (telbecfcu.com) and Bayer Heritage website (bayerhfcu.com), emails, and letters through the mail. It’s very important that all your contact information is up-to-date so you can receive all the updates. Please contact the staff at our Beckley branch at 304-255-9815 or 888-835-2321 to make sure we have your updated name, address, email address and phone numbers! We don't want you to miss out on the important information we'll be communicating over the coming months!

FAQ - what everyone is asking
Do I need to do anything with my accounts/loans in order to get a Bayer HFCU account?
No you don't! On July 1st the automated merger process will bring your accounts/loans over onto the Bayer HFCU system.
when will the beckley branch lobby be open again?
Good news!! We are tentatively planning to reopen the branch lobby in May! Watch for more info!
will my account number change?
Yes, you will be getting a new account number. More information to come.
will I need to get new checks?
We will continue to process Telbec FCU checks through the end of the 2022, however, you should order new checks with your Bayer HFCU routing and account info once our conversion is competed in July, 2022. More info to come.
Will I need to do anything with my direct deposit?
Yes. Once our conversion is completed on July 1, 2022, you should provide any direct deposit originators your new Bayer HFCU routing and account info.
what will happen with my telbec cd's?
Telbec CD’s will come over as-is, and once they renew, they will renew into the new rate that we offer.
is the beckley branch open through lunch?
We sure are! Come see us - 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Mon - Fri
What if I have automatic payments coming in or out of my account?
You will need to review your account transactions for anything that automatically debits or credits your account and notify the merchants of your new routing number and account number.
will online and mobile banking be available with my new account?
Yes! After July 1st you will be eligible to register for all our online services including online banking and our mobile app!
how will i access online banking?
You will need to register you new Bayer HFCU online banking account at Bayerhfcu.com. Click the CU @ Home button in the upper righthand corner and select Register.
FAQ - debit & credit cards
Will my old Telbec DEBIT card work after July 1, 2022?
You will need to use your new BHFCU debit card effective July 1, 2022. You will receive your new card in June.
If I have automatic payments set up on my Telbec DEBIT card will I need to set those up again?
Yes. As of July 1, your Telbec debit card will not work. Any automatic payments will need to be updated to reflect your new BHFCU debit card number and expiration date.
Can My BHFCU DEBIT card be activated before July 1st?
Yes, you can activate your new card when you receive it in June, but it WILL NOT work until July 1st.
If I have a joint card on my account, will it have the same card number?
No, they will have separate card numbers.
Will my old Telbec CREDIT card work after July 1st?
Yes. If you have a Telbec credit card, you will continue to use your existing card and make payments as you are used to doing . You will receive a new BHFCU credit card AFTER the July 1 conversion; the date will be communicated once we know when that change will take place.
do you offer debit cards for a savings account?
No, in order to apply for a Bayer HFCU debit card you must first open a Checking account. We also offer Reloadable Debit Cards as an alternative to having a traditional checking.
What will my new routing number be?

FAQ - loans
Will my loan payments/frequency change?
Your payment amount/frequency will stay the same as it currently is on the Telbec system.
Will I need to do anything with my secured loans to ensure they are properly insured?
After July 1, State National will begin reaching out to members with collateral secured loans over $2500 who do NOT have proof of insurance on file to ensure that we obtain it for our records.
